I grew up in NZ and Mum loved country, Dad hated it, but maybe he took refuge at home whilst Mum bundled us up in all weathers to go to concerts, they were free as it was local talent. I didn't mind the yodelling either, but I only ever like the one person and she was a Timaru girl.

They were good times, we saw the Hailey's Comet, one night before we went into the hall, actually, I missed it. Maybe my eye sight was bad even bad then....
